Method
 

  1. Step 1: Heat the Skillet — Place a flat skillet or pan on the stove over medium-high heat. Let it get completely dry and hot.
  2. Step 2: Dry-Roast the Spices — Toss in 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds and 4 black peppercorns. Toast them for exactly 45 to 60 seconds until they start to smoke slightly.
  3. Step 3: Activate the Oils — Immediately pour 1 cup of water directly into the hot pan. Enjoy that satisfying sizzle!
  4. Step 4: Simmer — Lower the heat and let the water simmer with the spices for 1 to 2 minutes until the liquid turns a rich golden color.
  5. Step 5: Strain and Serve — Use a strainer to pour the liquid into a clear glass. Squeeze the juice of half a fresh lemon into the warm drink and consume immediately.

Notes
