- Instruction 1: Prep the Apple "Donuts": Wash the apple and pat it completely dry with a towel. Slice it horizontally into half-inch thick flat rings. Use a small bottle cap or paring knife to gently cut out the center core and seeds.
- Instruction 2: Text: Melt the Chocolate: Break the chocolate bar into pieces and place them in a heat-safe bowl. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water (double-boiler method). Stir continuously for 2-3 minutes until fully melted and glossy.
- Instruction 3: Text: Coat and Top: Arrange the apple rings flat on a plate. Use a spoon to spread a thick layer of melted chocolate over each ring. Immediately sprinkle the crushed almonds over the wet chocolate so they stick.
- Instruction 4 Quick Freeze: Place the loaded apple slices directly into the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes (or use a pre-chilled plate/ice hack) until the chocolate shell sets completely hard. Let sit for 1 minute before serving.

Notes
For the best results, make sure the apple slices are 100% dry before applying the chocolate. If meal-prepping, these can be stored in an airtight container inside the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
