  • 1 can 10.5 oz cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Optional Add-Ins

  • 1 cup frozen green beans
  • ½ cup diced carrots
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese optional topping

Equipment

  • Slow cooker (6-quart recommended)
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Measuring Cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Meat thermometer (recommended for safety)

Method

Step 1 – Prepare the Slow Cooker
  1. Lightly grease the slow cooker insert. Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom. Season with garlic powder and black pepper.
Step 2 – Make the Creamy Sauce
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, and dried parsley. Stir until smooth and evenly blended.
  2. Spread the sauce evenly over the chicken. Do not stir.
Step 3 – Prepare the Stuffing
  1. In a separate bowl, lightly moisten the stuffing mix with about ½ cup warm water or broth (just enough to dampen, not soak).
  2. Spoon the stuffing mixture evenly over the creamy chicken layer.
  3. Do not mix the layers.
Step 4 – Cook
  1. Cover and cook:
  2. LOW for 6–7 hours
  3. OR
  4. HIGH for 3–4 hours
  5. Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Avoid lifting the lid during cooking.
Step 5 – Rest and Serve
  1. Let the dish rest for 10 minutes before serving. This allows the sauce to thicken and stuffing to set.
  2. Serve warm and enjoy.
