Ingredients

  • 1 cup Peanut butter Creamy works best
  • 1 cup Sugar Granulated
  • 1 large Egg Room temperature
  • 24 pieces Chocolate kisses Optional: dark or milk chocolate

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Spoon or spatula
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or silicone mat
  • Oven

Method

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Mix ingredients: In a bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, and egg. Stir until smooth and fully incorporated.
  3. Form cookie balls: Using your hands or a small cookie scoop, roll the dough into 1-inch balls.
  4. Bake: Place cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until lightly cracked on top.
  5. Add chocolate kisses: Remove cookies from the oven. Immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie. The warmth will slightly melt the chocolate without losing its shape.
  6. Cool: Let cookies cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack if desired. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For best texture, use creamy peanut butter; natural peanut butter may cause cookies to spread unevenly.
  • Optional variations: roll dough in extra sugar for sparkle, swap almond butter for peanut butter, or use dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate.
  • These cookies store well in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
